Code of Conduct and Harassment Policy
TL;DR:
Be excellent to each other. We’re here to roll dice, not ruin someone’s day.
Overview
At Wicked Dicey Events, we’re all about fun, creativity, and community. Whether you’re painting a mini, casting Fireball, or meepling it up, everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and welcome. This Code of Conduct outlines what we expect from everyone at our events—attendees, staff, vendors, GMs, and volunteers alike.
We enforce this policy at every event we host. If you violate it, we’ll take action. That may include a warning, removal from the event, or a ban from future events. In other words, don’t be that person.
Expected Behavior
We ask all attendees to:
- Treat everyone with respect and kindness.
- Respect personal boundaries—physical, emotional, and otherwise.
- Give others space at tables, in hallways, and in conversation.
- Use inclusive language and avoid jokes at anyone else’s expense.
- Listen when someone says “no,” “stop,” or “I’m uncomfortable.”
Unacceptable Behavior
The following actions are never okay at our events:
- Harassment, including unwelcome physical contact, comments, or advances.
- Hate speech, slurs, or any discriminatory behavior based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, religion, or anything else.
- Intimidation, stalking, or deliberate disruption of games or classes.
- Photographing or recording someone without their permission.
- Being disruptive or aggressive—verbally or physically.
If someone tells you your behavior is making them uncomfortable—stop immediately. Don’t argue. Don’t justify. Just stop.
Reporting an Issue
If you experience or witness inappropriate behavior, please report it as soon as possible. You can:
- Speak to a staff member or volunteer (we’re usually wearing staff badges).
- Email us at [email protected].
- Use our anonymous reporting form (available at our event desk or website).
All reports will be handled with discretion and care. We take every report seriously.
Consequences
Depending on the situation, consequences for violating the Code of Conduct may include:
- Verbal warning
- Removal from the event without a refund
- Permanent ban from Wicked Dicey events
- Involvement of venue security or law enforcement, if needed
Final Note
We’re here to build something awesome together—events that feel like home for nerds, artists, gamers, and everyone in between. Let’s make sure everyone feels like they belong.
