From this list, our esteemed panel of judges will choose the very first recipient of the Wicked Good Game Award. If you would like your game to be considered, please contact us.
Introducing the Wicked Good Game Award
At Everwinter, the Wicked Good Game Award celebrates the best game of the year by evaluating nominees across six categories, each scoring 1-3 points. The game with the highest total score will take home the title of Game of the Year.
In its inaugural year, a distinguished panel of five judges will evaluate nominees across six categories, culminating in the selection of the Game of the Year.

How to enter Wicked Good Game Award
Wicked Good Game Award takes place at Ironweld and Everwinter. To enter, pick up a Wicked Good Game Award ticket at at checkout or contact us to learn more.. Each entry requires a separate ticket. Multiple entries encouraged. ALL entry fees collected from our board game competition will be donated to charity.
Games that are eligible to enter: To be eligible for the Wicked Good Game Award, games must have been officially released one calendar year prior to the event. This ensures we’re celebrating the freshest, most innovative gaming experiences to date. If your game made its debut in the last year, it’s time to step into the spotlight!

We welcome all types of tabletop games to compete for the Wicked Good Game Award—from captivating board games to immersive TTRPGs and epic tabletop wargames. Whatever your style, if it brings players together and sparks unforgettable moments, it belongs in the running!

Does the game feature innovative and well-balanced mechanics that enhance the player experience?
Score: 1-3 point for exceptional design
Replayability
Does the game keep players coming back with fresh challenges, diverse strategies, or engaging variability?

Theme and Immersion
Does the game’s theme, story, and components create a compelling and immersive experience?
Score: 1-3 point for outstanding thematic integration
Component Quality
Are the game’s materials, artwork, and physical components of high quality and visually appealing?
Score: 1-3 point for exceptional production value
Player Interaction
Does the game encourage meaningful and engaging interactions between players?
